In addition or in exception to our standard Terms & Conditions (Ts & Cs) the following Ts & Cs apply
Quality Guarantee
While we make every effort to ensure the proper cellaring of wines in our possession and will act in good faith in purchasing wines, we cannot be responsible for the condition of wines or whether they show any attributes that might not be expected. n our absolute discretion we will consider requests for replacing the unopened balance of an order that is undrinkable.
Ownership
All goods remain the proper of Bancroft Wines Limited (“BWL”) until payment is received in full. Until that time, the customer will hold the goods as trustees for BWL and must not remove, alter or deface any identification mark on the goods. In the event of sales of the goods by the customer prior to payment in full of the price, the customer shall hold the proceeds as trustee for BWL and such proceeds of sale shall be placed in an account of BWL in such a way as to be identifiable as the property of BWL. In the event of non-payment, BWL shall be entitled in addition to all rights to enter into any premises where the goods may be and recover possession of them. Your order will only have been accepted and the contract between you and BWL will have been created once the invoice is dispatched to you.
Lien
In circumstances where BWL holds goods on behalf of the customer, the company shall have a right of lien on such goods for any debts, claims and liabilities whatsoever for which the customer may from time to time be liable to BWL whether or not the same is due at the time of sale and whether it is due or becomes due when lien is insisted upon. BWL shall exercise the right of lien at its discretion by the sale of goods and will retain the proceeds towards or to meet all debts, claims and liabilities due to become due by the customer to BWL. This right of lien is in addition to and without prejudice to BWL’s unpaid seller’s lien. An acknowledgement by BWL that the goods are being held does not constitute an acknowledgement of the customer’s title.
Payment
Payment is due with order. We accept payment by cheque, MasterCard, Visa, Delta or Switch cards. We are unable to accept payment for duty and VAT by credit card.

Prices
All prices are per case of 12x75cl in Bond UK unless otherwise stated and subject to alteration. Stock is subject to availability.
Bancroft Wines Limited reserves the right to alter prices as a result of changes in duty and VAT, and fluctuations in foreign currency.
Minimum Orders
Our minimum order is one standard case (12 bottles or the equivalent). Cases cannot be mixed.
Shipping and Deliveries
Duty and VAT (currently £20.25 per case and 17.5% per case respectively) are payable on delivery, as are any necessary delivery charges from the UK warehouse. Please note that Duty and VAT rates could be subject to change.
Once you have been informed of the arrival of your wines, delivery details must be confirmed within one month or storage charges of £5.00 per case per month will be applied.
Delivery is free of charge for all orders of at least 3 cases or more or of a value greater than £350. For orders below 3 cases or less than £350, a charge of £15.00 (including VAT) is levied in orders for mainland UK *. Charges for other destinations are available on request.

En Primeur Orders
En Primeur prices are quoted as “in-bond”. This price excludes the cost of excise duty, VAT and delivery, which will be charged at the prevailing rates at the time of delivery. In-bond deliveries will not incur duty or VAT until the point at which they leave bond. We can store your wine (both “duty paid or in-bond”) in ideal, long term cellar conditions. Please contact us for further details.
The minimum order for En Primeur purchases is 12 x 75cl bottles or equivalent. Cases cannot be mixed. En Primeur orders are subject to confirmation. Confirmation will be deemed to be given by us upon issue of an invoice by us. Wines ordered En Primeur can only be cancelled within 7 days of the date of invoice. Due to the nature of En Primeur orders we regret that orders cannot be cancelled after this time. Payment is due on receipt of invoice. En Primeur orders can be cancelled by us if we have not received payment within 14 days of the date of invoice.
All goods are offered subject to availability. If the producer or supplier fails to supply us with the wine we will contact you with available alternatives or offer a full refund of monies paid.
When En Primeur goods arrive in our bond we will action the despatch instruction that you provided at the time of order. If the wine is to be delivered to your home or office we will contact you to arrange a suitable day and time. If you do not contact us within 6 weeks of us notifying you that your wines are ready for delivery we will place your wines into in-bond storage at your cost.

Claims/Risk
All goods shall be at the buyer’s risk from the point of delivery to the buyer or its agents. Loss or damage observed at the moment of delivery should be signed for accordingly, otherwise please notify us in writing within 48 hours. Packaging and damaged goods must be retained for inspection.
Bancroft only purchases wine from the most reputable and long-established sources, and confirms allocation in advance of this offer. In the unlikely event that our suppliers are unable to provide us with the wine we have ordered, we undertake to give a full refund for any wine we are unable to deliver.
No variation or waiver of any of these conditions shall be binding on BWL unless in writing or signed by a director of Bancroft Wines Limited.
Data Protection
We may use your details, and share them with companies in the Opus Group and other carefully selected organisations to send you information about products and services. Your name, address, email and telephone number may be given to those companies for that purpose.
