The 2007 Port Declaration has caused a stir of excitement in the wine trade, not least because it has been 4 years since the last vintage was declared (Unlike other regions, Port does not produce a vintage every year, only in the most exceptional years is a Declaration made). We had the chance to taste the productions from all the Houses both great and small at Somerset House earlier this month. The vintage is extremely elegant but still possesses huge concentration and power to give it longevity.
