Green point

Green Point was established in 1986 by Moet & Chandon in the Yarra valley Victorioa State one of Australias oldest and most prestigious wine regions. This wine is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a mid to straw yellow colour. Aromas of lifted spice and fig with honey and floral notes are evident on the nose. It has a mellow, biscuit aroma with floral and honeyed notes. The palate is round and creamy and the flavour is long with a lively with a dry finish.

The Green Point vineyard surrounding the winery, at 100 metres above sea level, has a cool terroir due to its latitude and the influence of the southerly weather patterns that move in off the cold Southern Ocean. The ancient sandy clay loam soils provide nutrients and good moisture retention, which is important in the dry summer.
