This is the first vintage of this wine that François has produced, and it comes from an historic site in Seyssuel that he developed with Pierre Gaillard and Yves Cuilleron. Not wanting to get you too excited, as it is only made in small quantities, this has an amazingly aromatic, spicy nose, and minerals, cassis and spice on the palate. Terrific length. Drink from 2010. Certainly one of the most cheerful winemakers you get to meet in the Rhône, François always seems upbeat and energetic. He has only been making wines since 1989, but has already established himself as one of Condrieu’s greatest winemakers. No expense is spared in the production of his stunning wines, from painstaking selection in the vineyard to the new oak barrels that he buys every year.
