Chateau de la Greniere
This 15-hectare property is planted on clay, limestone and gravel soils with 55% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. Although not certified organic, they make special efforts to respect the environment and is now a member of the SME (Environmental Management System). Cabernet Sauvignon ripens very well on this particular site assisting the complexity, elegance and great structure of the wine. This 2008 combines finesse and structure; it is a rich, intense wine with a complex palate that has a touch of wood that never dominates the black fruits. This wine is drinking superbly now.
