Chateau Kirwan
Les Charmes de Kirwan is the second wine of Château Kirwan, a third growth Margaux property in the commune of Cantenac. Château Kirwan was decreed top of the third growths in 1855 and is one of the few not to have altered its holdings since. In the last decade it has been producing superb wines. There is still a beautiful 18th century château surrounded by 35 hectares of vineyards. Charmes de Kirwan is typically a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot and represents a quarter of the total château production.
