Domaine Cabrials

Domaine Cabrials

Located in the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon, in the South of France, Domaine de Cabrials lies on chalk and clay terraces to the west of Béziers. Cabrials’ present mansion was built in the 19th century on the site of a medieval château, which is still occupied. Its large vineyard is farmed by Bernard Julien. The domaine has a beautiful 19th century cellar with huge oak casks, today used for the ageing and storage of the wines. The vineyards cover about 80 hectares, with 60% planted with red grape varieties.

The wines from Cabrials are noted for their consistently high quality and depth of flavours. The Merlot displays ripe black and red fruits, a rich earthiness, and soft tannins with a hint of spice. The rosé is a beautifully pale colour; the palate is dry with peach and strawberry fruit and a deliciously fresh finish. It’s not easy to find Pinot Noir from the Languedoc let alone one of such quality and good value as this; elegant perfumed red cherry fruit, silky tannins and lingering finish define this wine.
