Wild South

Wild South

The name Wild South reflects the raw beauty of the Marlborough region and they do their best to maintain this beauty by being one of the first accredited sustainable wine growers in Marlborough. This passion for their environment is clearly reflected by the winemaker Christie Brown, who regularly wins top international awards and acclaim for her wines.

The estate’s two main vineyards, Hells Gate and Hammond Estate, are both situated on the southern side of the Wairau Valley. This location allows them to take advantage of the stony, fast draining soils with cool nights and long summer days to maximise the freshness and concentration of their wines. Wild South makes wines which are quintessentially Marlborough in style and are a joy to drink thanks to their poise, balance and racy freshness.

Wild South Christie Brown

The Wild South Sauvignon Blanc is an intensely fragrant wine, showing true Marlborough character. Aromas of lychee and gooseberry blend harmoniously with notes of fresh citrus peel. Lemon and lime nuances give this wine a delicious zing.

Showing a warm initial lift of fresh ripe cherries and yellow plums, the Pinot Noir warms in the glass to show rich nuances of pear and cinnamon. Balanced tannins and acids carry this richness through to the palate with lingering notes of violets and thyme.

Wild South is where the skies are wider, the mountains taller and the patterns of life are etched into the landWild South vineyards
