Chateau Doisy Vedrines (£210). We thought it was a superb performance from the property this year and awarded it 93/100. Neal Martin of e-RobertParker went further awarding it 94-96 saying: "Château Doisy-Védrines 2007 is perhaps the real over-achiever, ranking alongside the exceptional wines produced in the late-80's and again, it is the sense of poise and delineation that really sets its apart.”

We also have Chateau La Tour Blanche (£350). Always a rarity since only 3,500 cases of this wine are prodcued each year. This year's wine caught the attention of the team with it's blend of : "83% Semillon, 12% Sauvignon, 5% Muscadelle. Barley sugar on the nose. This is intensely sweet with super structure and intensity. Beautiful balance and intensity. Excellent length and finish."

Last week we had Chateau Rieussec released which has sold well and there are still a few cases remaining. Certainly one of the star performers of the vintage with Jancis Robinson MW awarding it 19/20. The 2001 vintage is now trading hands at prices in excess of £800 per case.
