H&H Bancroft Wines is delighted to present our newest agency, Tacchino, from Piemonte.

Alessio and Romina are the third generation of the Tacchino family based in Castelletto d’Orba.

 

The wines produced in their winery are pure, fermented in stainless steel and aged in

bottles without the influence of oak. As a result they are fresh, clean and expressive, and brimming with fruit.

The Gavi di Gavi 2007, made from 100%

Cortese grapes, has a gentle balance of stone fruit and citrus on the nose, while the palate has notes of peach and lime, with a clean, steely finish. This is a very elegant wine with excellent minerality.

 

The Dolcetto d’Ovada 2007 is made from grapes from vines with an average age of 40 years and is packed with ripe red berry

flavours and has a fresh lingering finish with subtle spicy notes.

 

Meanwhile the Barbera del Monferrato 2007 has clean, fresh aromas of black berry fruits and savoury, smoky notes. The palate shows ripe fruit and fresh acidity balanced with gentle

tannins.
