Domaine Guy Amiot was founded in 1920 and is now run by brothers Thierry and Fabrice who represent the fourth generation. Located in Chassagne, the domaine comprises of 4 hectares of village and 4 hectare of 1er Cru vineyards as well as a row or two of Le Montrachet. Thierry uses modern techniques to make traditional styled wines respecting vintage character. AlI cuvées are treated with 30% new oak for 12 months. Thierry’s wines combine richness, elegance, aromatic complexity and ageing potential. They are exemplary white wines that remain mystifyingly slightly under the radar but show a superb interplay of fruit, extract, minerality, and ultimately, great balance. They are stylish but restrained and their top 1er Crus are dynamite.
