En Primeur
Bancroft has along history of selling en primeur from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Italy and more recently California.
En Primeur refers to the process of buying wines before they are bottled and released onto the market. These will be purchased in bond (excluding duty and VAT) and shipped to the UK 1-3 years following the vintage.
En Primeur is widely found to be cheaper than the future price of the wine once on an open market. In instances of rare wines, purchasing En Primeur can be the only way to secure a case.
One landed in the UK, the wines will be stored at London City Bond. You will be notified of their arrival and you can arrange for payment of duty, VAT and delivery at that time.
